Introduction

Welcome to Market Miner! This is an ore-themed clicker game with a unique mechanic: a fluctuating ore stock market! This means that as you play, the price you can sell your ores for will sometimes be super high, and sometimes really low. It means you need to pay attention to the market & only sell when the time is right.

You start with just a stone mine, but eventually you'll open mines for copper, gold, and more! You will start by manually clicking and selling, but overtime that will become too big a job for one person, and you will start automating, and hiring people to watch the stock markets.

The game also has advancements, and some of them will unlock new game backdrops for you to apply, as an added bonus for advancing.

Controls

The controls are quite simple. It's point-and-click. You can press P to pause the game (Or pause via the settings menu on mobile). If you are in a public space and don't want to be disruptive (rapidly clicking your mouse can be loud), you are able to press enter while hovering an ore to click it, which for most keyboards is quieter.

Disclaimer

If you are using Safari (or any browser on iOS), you will need to set "Prevent cross-site tracking" to off in the settings if you want your game data to save after quitting the browser. Not sure why this is, but it's the way it is.

On macOS:

Safari >> Settings >> Privacy >> Prevent cross-site tracking. Disable this.

On iOS/iPadOS:

Settings App >> Apps >> Safari >> Prevent Cross-Site Tracking. Disable this.

I really liked it! I'll clarify that I'm not a clicker player, but I was very attracted by the fact that the sale is based on the market price!

My main language is Spanish so excuse my bad English.

Even so, my gameplay was about 20 minutes long, when I unlocked copper and saw that the difference was not much compared to coal, I stopped playing.

I think it's a very good idea that by giving more visual feedback, it would be very fun.

Tips that I would like to see in the game:

-More minerals, and that the gap between each one is not so big

-I don't know the reason, but it confuses me that the price is for 10 units. Could it be for one or for kilos?

-Market charts could be more volatile, not as predictable, or add events by signs like "the price of carbon rises due to the war between x and x" to specify that the price dropped from 12 to 1.

-Having the minimum and maximum price not be visible would add a lot of fun and fear due to the volatility of the market. Having it extend from the chart in a moment and instead of 1 to 12 (which is already known that when reaching 12 you have to sell), it could extend to prices that we do not know.

I hope you continue developing this idea! It has a lot of potential.

Good luck

Thanks for checking out the game, and thanks for the suggestions! More visual feedback is something I would like to add in the future. There are 4 minerals that you can unlock in total, and in my testing the gap between them was roughly 10mins, 14mins, and 17mins, but some people have had a more difficult time than that.
